In keeping with its partnership with Sodick, DP Technology will be on hand when the leading builder of EDM machines hosts its Smart Technology Event, an opportunity for shop owners to check out the latest machining technology.

The event, to be hosted May 7 and 8 at Sodick’s U.S. headquarters in Schaumburg, Il., will include the unveiling of the company’s latest EDM technology, “including the debut of the new high speed machining centers, electron beam machine, CNC control technology, and new line of EDM consumable wire,” according to information released by Sodick.

DP Technology is among partners that will be on site to interact with visitors; the others include Erowa Technology and National Finance.

Each new Sodick wire EDM machine equipped with an LP control includes a full commercial license of the ESPRIT CAM System for Sodick — featuring functionality that simplifies part-programming processes, increases part accuracy and reduces the length and complexity of G-code programs.

ESPRIT for Sodick runs offline on a PC and provides the full power of ESPRIT’s programming functionality for Sodick wire EDM machines. The ESPRIT for Sodick CAM system can also be used to program LN and LQ- equipped Sodick wire EDMs.
