ESPRIT Comunicati Stampa

ESPRIT at Mechatronics Technology Japan 2007 (30-Oct-2007)

ESPRIT was represented at three booths featured at the biennial Mechatronics Technology Japan (MECT) show, which took place in Port Messe Nagoya, the Nagoya international exhibition hall, Oct. 17-20.

A total of 93,872 visitors were drawn over the course of the four-day show to Nagoya, the capitol city of Japan’s Aichi Prefecture — a region renowned for its automobile industry, including the Toyota Motor Corp. and its associated companies.

Nagoya is also home to major machine tool companies Mori Seiki, Mazak and Okuma, in addition to others. Attendance figures for the event demonstrate a 7 percent increase since MECT last took place in 2005.

Takafumi Sakamoto san, DP’s director of business development for Japan, said DP Technology enjoyed a “very good presence” at the event, which is one of the country’s largest and most significant trade shows for the industry.

Notably, the event marked the introduction of major machine-tool maker Sodick’s LP Control to the Japanese market.

ESPRIT was showcased at the booth of DP partner Mori Seiki, which was attended by Sakamoto san and Scott Nelson, DP’s technical manager Asia Pacific, as well as at the booths of DP partner Citizen Machinery and DP reseller Aikoku Alpha, which also hails from Nagoya.
