Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) industry leader DP Technology, maker of ESPRIT CAM software, is pleased to announce that leading Italian machine tool company SIRMA Macchine srl has adopted ESPRIT as an official partner.

An importer and reseller of CITIZEN Swiss-style lathes, SIRMA Macchine srl has signed an agreement with DP Technology Italy, DP’s Italian branch, stating that all new SIRMA machines sold in Italy will be equipped with ESPRIT.

“It is a first step for a deeper collaboration in the near future,” said Bruno Monelli, director of sales for DP Technology Italy.

SIRMA Macchine made its decision in mid-July, following an extensive benchmark that aided the company in choosing ESPRIT over its competitors.

“We will start soon with targeted commercial actions,” said Francesco Cavalleri, technical and service director for SIRMA Macchine.
