(6-Feb-2005)  Alan Johnson Performance Engines, located in Santa Maria, California, manufactures performance heads for Harley Davidson application as well as high-performance cylinder heads for the professional drag racing engines. ESPRIT software is used in the machining process for the cylinder heads.

DEI, Dale Earnhardt Inc.
(21-Jan-2005)  DEI uses ESPRIT in the raceshop for all five of its NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series race teams. The Nextel teams are the #1 Bass Pro car driven by Martin Truex Jr.'; the #8 Budweiser car driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr.; #15 NAPA Auto Parts driven by Michael Waltrip. The DEI Busch Series teams are the #8 Chance 2 Motorsports Bass Pro car driven by Martin Truex Jr. and the #11 Menards car driven by Paul Menard.

Ferrari Team
(11-Dec-2004)  Another of our racing applications comes from the world famous Ferrari Team (above, center). Fichtel & Sachs of Bavaria, a well respected manufacturer of high-quality designs and parts for motor sports, used ESPRIT to develop and manufacture a new clutch design for Ferrari's F310. The clutch was machined from very special carbon materials to reduce weight and allow it to operate at over 1000 degrees through 6500 shift changes during a race. The design and machining was so successful that it reduced the clutch's weight by over 75% and increased its horsepower handling capacity by 260%

(5-Nov-2004)  Laughlin Racing Products, manufacturer of cars for NASCAR'S Nextel Cup and Busch Series, uses DP's ESPRIT software in its CNC Technical Center for various chassis and engine applications.

University of Central Florida
(15-Sep-2004)  Robert Hoekstra of UCF's College of Engineering began the first and only Precision Engineering Graduate Program in the United States. Throughout the process of starting the program, Hoekstra sought state-of-the-art technologies and techniques used in motorsports, and finding an all-important computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) instruction tool was an integral component. Hoekstra selected ESPRIT.
