| | | Ferrari Team | Another of our racing applications comes from the world famous Ferrari Team (above, center). Fichtel & Sachs of Bavaria, a well respected manufacturer of high-quality designs and parts for motor sports, used ESPRIT to develop and manufacture a new clutch design for Ferrari's F310. The clutch was machined from very special carbon materials to reduce weight and allow it to operate at over 1000 degrees through 6500 shift changes during a race. The design and machining was so successful that it reduced the clutch's weight by over 75% and increased its horsepower handling capacity by 260%
